We can find the accommodation that best suits your needs and wishes!

All accommodation options are in the beautiful Barra neighbordood, as is the school, within a maximum of 15 minutes’ walk. Towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly.  95% of accommodations have wireless internet access.  There are launderettes nearby that offer a full service at outstanding prices for students to have their clothes washed.

In order to make the students stay in Salvador as comfortably as possible, BrazilLink devotes a great deal of attention to accommodation assignments. All housing is checked periodically to make sure that everything is in order.

Accommodation Options

Host Family Stay

BrazilLink can arrange accommodation for students who want to stay with a Brazilian family. The homestay program offers a single or double room in a family home, including breakfast.  We also have some en-suite rooms, which must be requested in advance.

We have selected a wide range of middle-class host families who will do their best to help the students feel at home and perhaps make lifelong family connections. A host family provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about our life style and culture. The best way to learn the Portuguese language is by being deeply immersed in it. Shared rooms can be booked only by students who register together.

Shared apartment with Brazilians

Another accommodation option is sharing an apartment with one or more Brazilians, which is similar to the homestay, except that breakfast will NOT be included. The student will be allowed to use the kitchen to prepare their own meals. We communicate with the student when planning this accommodation option, to select the flat mates who have the most thing in common. Our bank of flat mates spans a wide age range.

Sharing an apartment with Brazilians is meant for those who prefer a more independent and slightly cheaper lodging option. Sharing an apartment with Brazilians means that students have their own room in an apartment where Brazilians live. Most of the flats have just one or two Brazilians living there. All flats have been visited by the school’s staff and all of them are located within walking distance of the school and the beach.

Hotels, Inns and Hostels or rent an apartment 

Alternatively, we can offer a selection of nearby guest houses, apartments, hotels and inns.  There are choices to suit the student’s lifestyle and desired level of privacy. Ranging from budget to executive, we always make sure our students get excellent value for money.  They are in a walking distance from the school and in very convenient areas of Barra, close to shops and other facilities and, of course, the beach.
